30 Day LOA Daily Routine

April 1st, 2009

Now that I’m getting up early to do the exercise and subliminal video part of this routine, I’m finding I don’t have time to post as well.

So, here’s the quick version of the initial daily routine, and I’ll be following up with a more detailed post in 2 days time, when we hit the weekend down here in Oz.

  • Morning Manifesting Routine from “Super Manifestor” program
  • Exercise Body (20 minutes) while watching “5k per day” and “Million Dollar Thoughts” videos
  • Meditation: Quieting the mind, Open Heart, Relax into Being (20 minutes)
  • Go on a Power Scripting Walk during the day (or morning) (15 minutes everyday)
  • Listen to Gamma meditation daily
  • Listen to Success Programming mp3 daily
  • Update Motivator & Subliminal Power programs with new goals for this trial
  • Work at home PC for at least 1hr/day for Motivator and Subliminal Power program to work
  • Watch Mind Movie daily
  • Take action on the ideas that occur to me!

So far, I’ve really enjoyed getting back into the exercise, and have gone from 10m yesterday up to 12m today.  Tomorrow will be a rest day on the exercise, then the days after will be 12m and 14m respectively.  I plan on making changes I can stick with.

The hard part is getting up when the alarm goes off – it’s really really dark in the morning now.  Hopefully daylight savings this weekend will make it a BIT easier 🙂

New 30 day trial coming April 1

March 28th, 2009

Now that I’ve nearly finished doing a month of raw vegan food to improve my health (that was over at http://CrystalsQuest.com) I’m back using LOA.  You’ll shortly get a summary post of that 30 day trial, because I’ve realised that there’s parts of it that definitely worked in with some of the things I’d been trying to attract – and I remembered my last mind movie included shots of fresh fruits, vegetables & juices, with the words “Enjoy Lots of Fresh Fruit, Organic Vegetables, and Living Foods” – well, that’s another part of it I’ve definitely manifested now – at the same time as practising the selfless manifestation, since I’ve raised over $300 in sponsorship for the Queensland Flood Victims so far.

Truth is, I’m not sure if I’m being April Fooled or not, but now I’ve been challenged to raise $500 in a month – and the best way I know to do it is with the Law of Attraction.  After all, it worked for me with this day job I’m in, so why shouldn’t it start me on the road to getting back out of it again.  😉  Truth is, I’ve missed it after other things crowded it out of my life a few months back…

So, here’s the deal.  Starting 1 April, I’ll be doing a daily LOA routine to try to attract $500 through ONLINE SOURCES by 11.59pm on April 30, 2009.

As always, I’ll post up here as interesting things happen, but here’s where it’s going to be different.  I’m NOT going to post daily to the blog.  There’s a distinct limit to my time while I’m working, and while I’m at work I can’t access the internet – not even to update during my lunch hour.  What I CAN access, though, is email.  So, the daily progress reports will be coming out via email through an aweber list.  If you’re interested, check out the subscription form at the right there – it’s a free list, but you will be asked to confirm your subscription before you’ll start getting the updates.  They’ll send you an email, you click on the link, and you’re in – it’s that simple.

I’ll post back here tomorrow or the day after once I have the routine worked out.  I have a new subliminal video I bought that includes one for “million dollar ideas” so that’s going to be part of it.  Exercise will be as well – that really made a difference last time, plus I made myself stop doing it while I tested out the raw food diet, so it wouldn’t confuse the results, and I’ve missed that too.  I found myself running for the bus even though I had plenty of time, just because I had so much energy buzzing me from all the fresh food.

I’m looking forward to the challenge, and I hope you’ll join me…

Day 1 LOA for Selfless Goals

January 6th, 2009

First day of the new routine yesterday, trying to manifest for my sister’s Education Fund.  Here’s how the protocols went:

  • First thing Manifestation Routine from the Comprehensive Manifestation Course I used last year
    Done, although I need to get in the habit of getting up early again after Christmas.  Also, visualising for someone else somehow just doesn’t get the same level of emotional depth.  Might have to work on that.
  • Morning visualisation exercise (as I’m exercising)
    Skipped this, the exercise bike had my charity boxes in front of it, so I left it.  There was a 4m visualisation as part of the routine, so this may be doubling up.
  • $5k per day video for 20m at least 5 days a week
    10m so far this morning
  • Meditation (also from the Manifestation course) at least 5 days a week –
    – did this on the train home from work
  • Inspired actions as they occur to me (I’ll share those that wouldn’t be influenced by sharing)
    – none so far
  • Weekly ‘power raising’ routine (from Outrageous Masters) – n/a yet
  • Weekly review of results – checking in with her as well as me – n/a yet

Target = $11,879.  I found 5c, so that makes it $11,878.95 to go 😀

New Year, New Goal

I went and did it again :/  In typical overcommitted underachiever style, it took someone else to point out that I was proposing to run TWO experiments at once, and how on earth could I possibly tell the results of each…

So, revised plan.  The group effect is going to wait.  I’m planning on testing how well LOA works for Selfless Goals first.  I already have a guinea pig, so to speak.  My sister’s kids and their education.  She always worries about getting the money together, I always tell her not to, and that it’ll show up on time.  She worries anyway, all the way up til when it arrives in the nick of time.  She jokingly told me that she’d really love it if once, it arrived well in advance.  My experiment was born!

The target for this is $11,879.  Australian dollars, although I really don’t think she’d complain if it turned up in US currency!  I’m hoping to manifest it within 30 days, or at least the idea that results in it.  The protocol is, starting tomorrow:

  • First thing Manifestation Routine from the Humungous Manifestation Course I used last year
  • Morning visualisation exercise (as I’m exercising)
  • $5k per day video for 20m at least 5 days a week
  • Meditation (also from the Manifestation course) at least 5 days a week – this fits well on the train to work
  • Weekly ‘power raising’ routine (from Outrageous Masters)
  • Inspired actions as they occur to me (I’ll share those that wouldn’t be influenced by sharing)
  • Weekly review of results – checking in with her as well as me

Disclaimer: Some of those links ARE affiliate links.  Any commissions earnt from them during the 30 days will count towards the total.

This will be starting tomorrow morning.  Wish me luck/opportunity/the force to be with me?

Testing a New Concept

December 26th, 2008
conceptDevelopmentTests

The last few weeks have been pretty exciting.  While I’ve still been travelling to my dayjob, I’ve tested out getting up early every day to post on my main blog at http://crystalsquest.com, and incidentally started stumbling across major coincidences (alpha reflections) again.  Despite the alarm going off at 3 or 4 in the morning, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier, or felt more like I was absolutely on the right track.

One of the alpha reflections was a post in one of my favourite forums, where a few people decided to get together for 30 days and all focus on making $20,000 in a month.  I came across it a few weeks in, so I tried to join, but it didn’t feel right.

The concept, though, has me excited.  I started having major brainstorms about how it could amplify results if you combined a mastermind group with a Law of Attraction theme.  While I’m testing out the idea, my first focus for the new year is going to be on using the LOA for giving, so I’m going to find out from my sister how much her kids school fees are going to be, and target that exact amount during my trial of this new method.  I know from past experience that there is so much less resistance to manifesting when your object is for someone else.  Next step is to find maybe 6 other people with ‘giving’ type goals so we can all help amplify things for each other…

2009 is going to be great!

Manifesting Luck

December 4th, 2008
good luck!
Image by babileta via Flickr

It looks as though the 30 day early rising trial I’m doing over at Crystals Quest is starting to merge with the LOA lessons I’ve learnt in my 30 day trials here.  Not only am I finding that my health is making leaps for the better (since I accidentally gave up coffee) but I discovered a post on a forum I like, offering a 30 day group manifestation trial.  It had already been going for about 10 days, but I still jumped in and asked to join.  The group intention – which did give me butterflies until I worked on getting rid of them – was to manifest $20,000 for each person in the group.  Some already have.  For many, that was a small amount (hence I decided this was a group I wanted to spend more time around, to change my own attitudes in that direction).

Well, the day after I signed up I won a competition online, having my name drawn for a prize.  Not sure the value of that.  I don’t know if it counts, but in the week before I found this post (while it was already going) I had won a $200 gift voucher elsewhere, as well as discovered some unclaimed money that boosted the tally further.

Now it’s seeming like luck is definitely something that ties in nicely with manifestation.

Would you like to see this as another 30 day trial, testing out methods for making yourself luckier?  Either email me back or use the comments option here to let me know, and I’ll decide January’s topic based on your response…

Jump, and the net will appear

November 21st, 2008

It seems like the Law of Attraction (or someone) is watching over me again.  I mentioned how my mailbox had a lotto cheque waiting for me the day I committed to buying PLF 2.1.  Well, now I’ve just discovered a phone account that I’d paid into by mistake, and which is refunding me a nice big cheque that will cover about 2/3rds of my first payment.  It definitely looks as though that leap of faith started a chain reaction that has coincidences lining up to fix it in place.  Feels amazing!

It doesn’t hurt that even in the first module (which has a surprising amount of stuff to go through!) there’s a straight up push to get us going into the practical planning stages.  By the time I finish this first lot, I’ll have laid the foundations to actually go through a launch of my own.  A little one, I’m thinking, to practise on.  It’s all very exciting.

Of course, this is just one payment of six.  I wonder what would have happened if I’d gone for the ‘up front’ option? <grin>

Bizarre influx of Job Offers

November 2nd, 2008

I wrote a post over at CrystalsQuest a week or so ago, about a choice I was facing to either pursue a higher paid job opportunity (the goal being to pay off my mortgage and free myself from having to work) or stay where I was and keep working on my long term strategy of passive income.  In the end, I decided that it would be better to stay in my current job – I thought the other position offered something more like the illusion of progress, and I’d end up losing my time in exchange for the higher money.  Not something I want to head towards at all.  In the process, though, I clarified that it wasn’t just money I was after.  In fact, that having the choice of how I made my money was more important to me than simply earning more.

I felt good about that decision.  It felt like a step forward, towards clarity.

The funny thing is, though, that having done that, I’ve spent the last week having jobs just about thrown at me from all directions!  I browse the web and the sites I surf suddenly have ads for jobs in my local area.  I call up about a technical issue at work, and in the process of working with them to resolve it end up getting an offer to shift across there.  Even helping a colleague out with a different software issue, and then feeding back to their specialist area I got another.  Now I don’t want them, they’re coming thick and fast!

I suspect that this means I’m making some progress, and that having clarified my issues around work and what I eventually want to achieve, maybe all the tests that were queued up for me are just being moved out of the way.  It’s very funny, though.  After spending so much of my life as a jobseeker, NOW I discover the secret to getting job offers galore is to decide you don’t want them and start knocking them back!

How to create a default image for the Unstandard theme

October 5th, 2008

Two tweaks for the Unstandard theme:

How to specify a default image for lead_image and secondary_image and
How to make the home page show posts from only one category.

I know, this is another off-topic post but I’ve had so many people write in to me wanting to know about the tweaks I’ve been doing for this theme that I just thought I’d put it out there.
[grin] Maybe it’s how I’m going to do some more ‘attraction’ of readers???

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to set up the theme for a while so that if I didn’t have the time (or inspiration) to create a custom image for lead_image and secondary_image, the page would revert to using a default one. Plus, of course, it would mean I could occasionally post remotely from places where I didn’t have access to ftp and image software. Turns out it’s not actually that hard.

The line of code that looks for the image to use on your home page is, funnily enough, home.php. (There’s a similar entry under index.php but it only looks for secondary images, so I suspect that’s called when you’ve got some kind of page navigation plugin that lets you go back to previous entries. I put the fix in there too just to be certain.)

You’re looking for the code:

<?php $top_query = new WP_Query(‘showposts=1’); ?>
<?php while($top_query->have_posts()) : $top_query->the_post(); $first_post = $post->ID; ?>
<div class=”post” id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>”>
<div class=”main-post-bg”>
<p class=”post-comments”><?php comments_popup_link(‘No Comments’, ‘1 Comment’, ‘% Comments’); ?></p>
<?php $image = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘lead_image’, true); ?>
<a href=”<?php the_permalink() ?>” title=”<?php the_title(); ?>”><img width=”593″ src=”<?php echo $image; ?>” alt=”” /></a>
<div id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” class=”post”>
<div class=”main-post-bg”><a title=”<?php the_title(); ?>” href=”<?php the_permalink() ?>”><img src=”<?php echo $image; ?>” alt=”” width=”593″ /></a>

The line in there that calls the image is <?php $image = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘lead_image’, true); ?>.  You can add in a string just after the last semicolon that tells it what to look for if there is no ‘lead_image’ specified by changing it to:

<?php $image = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘lead_image’, true); $image = $image ? $image : ‘../images/default_img.jpg’; ?>

Of course, you’d change the path to whatever points to your default picture, and make sure it’s sized properly (593 x 225px).

Then you need to do something similar to point to your default ‘secondary_image’.  It looks just like the above line, but about 15 lines down and says ‘secondary_image’ instead of ‘lead_image’.  That one will need to be sized 293×150, if you’re still using the unstandard default sizing.  To make it easy, here’s a cut and paste again:

<?php $image = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘secondary_image’, true); $image = $image ? $image : ‘../images/default_img2.jpg’; ?>

And finally, for those that have asked me how I made my home page show only selected posts, I created a category called ‘Featured’ and only those will show up on the front page.  It was my workaround for posts where I didn’t have images – I just wouldn’t assign them to that category and the pictures wouldn’t be needed.  How?  The line:

<?php $top_query = new WP_Query(‘showposts=1’); ?>
…and further down…
<?php query_posts(‘showposts=15’); ?>

got changed to:

<?php $top_query = new WP_Query(‘showposts=1&category_name=Featured’); ?>
…and…
<?php query_posts(‘showposts=15&category_name=Featured’); ?>

4 hour work week hack: remembering your priorities

September 27th, 2008

The mindset in the 4 hour workweek has really flipped my worldview around. I managed to negotiate one of the ideas on it, and had a super productive day away from the office. Wasn’t sure it would be possible, considering I work for a government agency, but it happened and turned out a real win-win. Started uploading some of my old books to ebay to clear them out and found they just took too much time to write up, so I posted a couple of book sets. Same deal. Now I’m just telling people they can pick ten of what I have on offer and called it “Ten books for ten bucks” – I figure that’s probably the quickest way to get rid of them, fast, short of giving them away (which for some reason I have a real resistance to. Maybe something I’ll need to work on later). I did want the outsourcing service to put the ads together, but that would have just made them too expensive. Plus, they never got back to me with a quote.

So, now that work is seeing the potential of what I can offer in a super productive day, I’m facing another problem. I’m getting called in to a lot more meetings and being asked for a lot more input. It’s great on one level to get that recognition, but at the same time it’s making my workday hours creep outside the borders a bit more, and it’s a bit of a challenge to remember that the job is NOT meant to be the all consuming god of my life; in fact I have other dreams and plans outside of work that it’s starting to eat into. This is where I’ve fallen down a few times in my life – setting and standing behind boundaries.

This week is going to be really challenging, since we’re down a supervisor and I’ll be backup for a few things he normally does. Not an issue in terms of skills, just in terms of time. I’m either going to have to get really really efficient somehow somewhere I’ve not yet streamlined (I don’t think there’s anything left that I haven’t tweaked already) or put in a few more hours. On the bright side, I will get those hours back down the road, but that’s not the point. It’s a learning experience for me to remember to put myself up higher in the priority list. I think that’s one a lot of women have trouble with, and I know I’m not alone, but even so…

… wish me luck?

Third option I just realised, I might just have to work out what to drop off and let some things go from my workload – which is perfectly in line with the 80/20 philosophy of the book! Hmm. Maybe I’m in more of a learning curve than I thought!
